UV Filter for SLR/DSLR Cameras (67mm)

Pros: I bought this Massa UV filter a few weeks ago for my father's Nikon D80 camera.
Its main purpose is to protect the camera lens from dust and scratches.
Build quality is good, it fits the camera nicely.
It came nicely packed in a transparent plastic holder, which was inside a paper box.
Price also acceptable, about half the price in the local shop.
Shipping was relatively fast, I got it within a week of placing the order.

Cons: None I can think of.

Other: If you want a cheap solution for protecting your camera lens, buy it.

Pros: Does a great job protecting my AF-S Nikkor 18-70mm 1:3.5-4.5G ED lens! I like the plastic box it comes in sturdy and nice! (shown in the next to last image) Build quality is nice. Screwed onto my lens nicely and additional filteres screwed on nice and thight onto the this filter.

Cons: None really. Does what it's supposed to. It could be cheaper, but the price is ok.

Other: Great if you need something to protect your lens from the dust and scratches it would otherwise have to take!

Pros: I bought this filter to protect my tamron 17-50 lenses from dust or scratches or even small strokes. It fitted my lens perfectly, and at 17mm has no more vignetting than the lens itself has.

Cons: None at this time, keeps working and doing what it has to do.

Other: Buy this filter before buying the lens, and put the filter on the lens as soon as you have it, so it will always be protected agains dust, water, scrathes or strokes.

Pros: It fits my Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 L USM lens very well. I use it mainly for protecting my lens from dust, finger touching or scratches. It serves this purpose very well. I cannot tell any performance difference between this one and other expensive brand. It is easy to use.

Cons: Not the big name brand. I can not think about anything else.

Other: Buy this one if you want an economical solution to protect your lense.

Pros: It fits perfectly on my 18-105mm Nikon VR lens for my d90. It protects the lens and from the dust entering the lens. The build quality is fairly acceptable. The thread fits perfectly with the lens.

Cons: nothing really. maybe a small improvement on the thread for the lens cap its doesn't fit perfectly there might me dust will enter on a small gap.

Other: Its the best cheap alternative to protect your investment.

Pros: This is a really good product and overpass my expectations: 1) Great built quality 2) Good packaging. Looks pretty secure in order to support the shipment. 3) Nice light management. I notice a good difference specially on reflections. 4) Do not create unwanted light spots from reflexions (like happen in most cheap filters) 5) Screw fits smooth to the 18-105 vr nikkor lens.

Cons: None so far, it works as intended to do. Probably you've to use the lens hood more often since direct sun may create extra light spots. Anyway I use it all the time (except when using flash) so it's just fine.

Other: I'm thinking buying more filter for my other lenses since I really liked the quality of this brand. I think you don't have to think it twice and just go for it.

Pros: Very cheap, nice build, feels solid, fits my lens very good. Saved front lens glass from finger taps several times.

Cons: In certain condition makes ugly shiny ghosts in your photos. Most of them came out shooting indoors when some bright lights got into frame.

Other: My rating is 4 out of 5 because of shiny ghosts. And one more thing, when you mount filter on your lense don't tighten it too much to have a chance of taking it off the lens in future ;)

Pros: It is really cheap, it works nicely and you might almost think it is just as good as a brand filter but...

Cons: Does cast green ghosts in some lighting conditions. I didn't keep using it after I saw these ghosts, but I am sure these will appear in daylight or with flash. It's a cheap filter that can reduce your image quality dramatically in a lot of situations. I guess there is just a lack of coating on the glass that makes it a poor quality filter.

Other: Since you already invested so much in a lens, don't let a piece of reflecting glass ruin that for you.

Pros: Of course, this doesn't have the perfection of a Hoya filter, but since I bought this for lens protection, I'm really satisfied with product quality. Protects my lens and i didn't notice any aberrations on image until now. For who needs a protection for lenses, it's perfect.

Cons: None. Products does what it should by price.

Other: This is a good product for the price. I will buy another sizes as i need.
