- Diagnostic via CAN and special functions via K-line.
- Covers all electronic control units in vehicles (diagnostic addresses from 0x01 to 0x80). This
can allow of user to investigate and diagnosis some new units untouchable for remaining
diagnostic tools. Functions are under CAN-TP2.0
- Manual definition of running diagnostic session not like remaining diagnostic tools always

    Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: The device supports all VAG vehicles with CAN bus. It supports CAN TP2.0 protocol and is able to perform many diagnostic-related tasks with your vehicle. It's simple to connect it to laptop and car, to install drivers and to perform basic tasks (e.g. read/clear diagnostic trouble codes (DTC)).

    Cons: The device works with VAG K+CAN Commander 1.4 only. It WILL NOT work with VAG Tacho, VAG-COM and other diagnostic software.
    Software is supplied on the small CD, so I was unable to read it from my laptop which has slot-loadable DVD drive.
    VAG K+CAN Commander 1.4 is very old and many functions are not implemented (e.g. actuator test). Newer versions are available to the owners of the original Abritus72 hardware only (this dongle is NOT the original hardware ;) And I couldn't find any other versions of the software which work with this dongle.

    Other: Works with VAG K+CAN Commander 1.4 ONLY!
    Easy to connect and install.
    Capable of performing many diagnostic tasks, but be very careful not to damage your car.

    Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: None really, its a pretty bad clone of a old cable, it might support canbus, but there arent really any good functions in the program, because it uses a china version of it.

    Cons: Old software, and not even the original old software, but a rewitten "CHINA" version.
    Can ruin ECUs and alike very easy.
    Program and cable misses good guides.
    Program is hard to navigate through and is hard to get running on pcs running windows 7 or vista, and impossible if you are running 64 bit.

    Other: If i knew it was so bad a clone i wouldnt have bought it.
    So stay away from this cable.
