Vertical Battery Grip for Nikon D300 Digital SLR Camera

Pros: Fits perfect with the D300 Body --> See my uploaded Pictures. The quality is very good (compared to swiss standard!). The camera does 8fps with the Grip which is actually great. But only if you have the 8xAA Batteries inserted.
All the Buttons work very smooth and well. No cheap materials are used. The camera grip is stable mounted an doesn`t move.
Batteries like En-EL3 can be charged directly in the grip, but only with the car adapter which is included.
Great product which is definitely worth the price!

Cons: It should be mentioned that the camera grip is only with addtitional parts compatible with the EN-EL4!!!
To use the grip with En-EL4 you will need SKU 34704 which is a Battery + Compatible mount part. And costs you an addtional 32$
Probably because of the package size I had to pay 40$ extra at my home contries customs which was a little bit anoying. So be sure you check this before!

Other: Nothing

Pros: It will get your D300s to 10 frames per second.
The batterygrip fits nicely and secure to the camera. No free play. Also removing the pack is a breeze.
All buttons function, and work. Also the control wheels and cursor are functioning as expected.
Shutter button has the right touch and feel.
Grip is quite rigid, I expected a lower quality.

Cons: The grip is a bit plasticky to the touch - you would like the grip to have some kind of rubber grip, which this one does not have.
The controlwheels are not as responsive and smooth as the ones on camera.
You have to get a batterypack (EL3a) to get the 10FPS. The one offered here at DX lasts for about 350 shots.

Other: If you use this grip occasionally like I do (once in a while some sports and portraits) then get it. If you use it on a daily basis, get the genuine part.
