Vertical External Battery Grip for Canon 450D/500D/40D/1000D DSLR

Pros: I have this grip for about i mounth now, and looks ok - not soo resistant than the original bg-e5 but, its ok. The shutther button is precise and is easy do mount on camera, and feels good to shot verticaly now...

Cons: The weel and other buttons (not the shutter) are not-so-good quality and...well..only this

Other: i recomend this grip for eos xsi, if you down want a BEST grip, just want to shot verticaly, and wont want spend ~U$150,00, well, you will like this grip

Pros: - Fits perfectly on my Canon EOS 500D
- Easy to take vertical pictures now!
- Double the battery capacity.
- Good looking, and its makes the camera a bit bigger and more heavy, I like that cause it feels more like a real camera now.

Cons: - First time I put it on, it didn't work. I had te remove it and put it back on, then it worked. Haven't took it off since then. :)
- Feels a but cheap, but it works.. so its cool.
- You have to turn it on before you can use it...

Other: Bottomline, its a cheap solution. In Holland these things cost about 120 euro's, here is 1/4 of the price, so awsome.
I have a total of 4 batteries, so when they are empty I can replace the batteries and take abnother 800 - 1000 pictures.

Pros: I get the grip, put in the batterys (also from dealextreme) and it worked well. Even the small cap that secures the battery in the camera itself fit into a small hole in the batterygrip. I use it with accu-packs but also there is a second shuttle o fill with normal batteries or AA Accus.

Cons: Some say the build quality is not so good. I find it quite impressive. Only the gummi itself seem to be a bit slippy the first times, but its only a minor thing.

Other: Its a very good addition to the camera bag and I work good and fast with it.

Pros: Works great. Makes your camera more versatile by being able to use both LiPo and disposable batteries. Puts some wight on your camera making it easy to keep it steady. Makes if "feel" better.

Cons: It is a little loose on the camera. It is a small con but still bothers me. The buttons and the wheel on the grip are not the same size and feel as the ones on my 450D. Once again this is a small con but a dead give away as a knock off grip.

Other: If you got eh cash to go for the cannon grip do it. If you are serious about saving money and don't mind a small sacrifice in quality.

Pros: This is a very good alternative for the original one from Canon. I use this on my Canon EOS1000D and it works great. No more gymnastic tricks when taking vertical photos, because all the important camera controls are placed on this grip as well.

Cons: no cons for me, would do it again.

Other: This is in combination with the Canon LP-E5 replacement battery (SKU 20710) a perfect match for your Canon EOS1000D (Rebel).

Pros: Battery grip yesterday received well packed and delivered pretty fast! Now two days tested, not yet used extensively, but so far very satisfied. The quality is really good, the real rubber feels even better as the EOS 500D. extra batteries purchased there, these are exactly the same as original. Very nice, thank you!!

Cons: So far no weaknesses, in the beginning I thought he stayed loose but when i turnt the wheel tight is feels super solid.

Other: Will do it again, its great and cheap compared to the original!

Pros: Feels very sturdy, offers all functionality of original. Comes with a manual and all is neatly separately packed into the box. The assembly of the trays is very easy, you do need some set of nails at least though to be able to open the notch, so stop biting your nails! :)

Cons: None at all, it is a great product.

Other: Get it, great addon and gives that extra grip that you definitely will need on a long day trip.

Pros: It fits my Canon EOS Rebel T1i perfectly, with no flaws. it screws into the tripod mount and makes a tight fit. the material matches the camera, and the rubber fells exactly like the rubber on the camera.

Cons: i can't think of any cons this item is perfect and worth every penny. the only thing they should change is the locking mechanism for the battery's if you look at it you can see a tiny piece of very thin metal.

Other: if you are a photographer or just enjoy taking photos this item is for you! go and buy it NOW!

Pros: The first PRO is price, but the low price has nothing to be to the build quality.
i haven´t used the original one, but this feels really good, the bigger rubber portion than the 450D body make it more comfortable to hold by this grip than the body itself. and the matte finnish of the plastic look nicer and less fingerprint-friendly than the shinny one of the body

Cons: no ISO button
no charger

Other: really good product, it´s a must-buy if you are an amateur photographer, buy it in combo with some extra batteries

Pros: fits perfectly on the 500D too. although it not exactly the same plastic/rubber material, looks very good e match the overall camera look. all the features work fine, half press shutter and everything else. came on the exact same box, well packed, and shipped/arrived really fast.

Cons: ISO button would bee nice, but i really dont know if the original grip has it.

Other: worth every dollar, in fact is cheaper and as good as other grips. this will give your camera a nice PRO look (some flashes are almost bigger than the body itself, its weird), twice the battery capacity and the vertical shutter is a very nice feature.
