Pros: A beautiful design and effectively.
Simply put it in the usb and in vista ultimate sp1 not need drivers, for use in plug and play.
Whether the microphone or speakers it works very well as it should.
Useful when you lose its drivers or your PC has a problem and that you lose the sound.
While troubleshooting a crash the windows.
A transparent blue best effect.
Cons: The sound is not the top.
Not sure whether the 5.1.
Other: An easy purchase for those who want a troubleshooting external sound and do not disassemble their pc in case of sound.
To me, the key is doing what it has to do and nothing more.
I have not tested if it was really 5.1 but I do not really use 5.1 so it suits me perfectly.

Pros: slim, small, easy to use (plug and play), quite cheap
Cons: really bad sound, distort alot, my altec lansing speaker sounds like crappy speaker, i mean like really crappy speaker (broken speaker), like your great grand mother's radio and turn the volume speaker 10 times it should be... got the point? the bass really sounds awful and like alot of interference going on.
i bought 3 and only 1/2 (half) works.
2 units are really bad, 1 units has the score of 60 (out of 100).
Other: buy it if you really2 need them.
i still haven't tried the more expensive one, the 7.1 version of this item, so i can't say much..

Pros: This tiny blue dongle is very helpful if you need additional soundcard.
Worked out of the box w/o additional drivers, mine looks exactly like one on pictures.
Cons: Actually if you don't want replace existing soundcard but use more outputs simultaneously - the installation and setup could be a bit tricky, you need additional sofware.
As all cheap audio chips - quality of sound is not ideal, and it eats up a bit of your processor time i think.
Other: If your soundcard is broken or you need more outputs - buy this one and use ASIO4ALL software for wirtual re-wiring inputs and outputs.

Pros: +Does pretty much as advertised
+Just plugged into the computer and the computer took care of all the setup.
+No major flaws
Cons: -Sound quality is pretty horrid
-Completely unusable at high volumes because of the sound quality
Other: If this is the only way for you to get sound, then this product is for you.

Pros: Cool design, very small and light, handy.
Plug and play, no specific driver required.
Works under Linux with ALSA driver.
Costs peanuts!
Cons: Sound quality is bad, there's no any hum but the sound is distorted, especially at high levels. At low levels it's noticeably better but still no hi-fi.
Not compatible with OSS (Linux / Solaris / BSD sound system) and Mac OS!
Other: Can be bought for use anywhere where sound quality isn't so important: as a backup card, for system signals, for VoIP maybe. For listening to music or having 5.1 sound add some money and get a "real" card, maybe sku.15746 — I didn't heard that one myself yet but the reviews aren't bad.

Pros: Cool design, very small and light, handy, like a flash drive stick.
Plug and play, no specific driver required.
Works with Windows XP and Linux with either ALSA and OSS 4 drivers.
Costs peanuts.
Cons: Sound quality is bad, there's no any hum but the sound is distorted, especially at high levels. At low levels it's noticeably better but still far from hi-fi.
Volume control works in a bad way, sound is very loud through all range of the slider and becomes quieter only at the low few pixels. Like it's exponential instead of logarithmic :) Not possible to set exact volume you want.
Reported to be not compatible with Mac OS (by other users).
Did not work for me when connected via a USB hub, the sound crackles like hell.
Other: Can be bought for use anywhere where sound quality isn't important: as a backup card, for system notifications, maybe for VoIP. For listening to music or having 5.1 sound add some money and get a "real" card, maybe sku.15746 — I didn't heard that one myself yet but the reviews aren't bad.

Pros: - Cheap!
- Works out-of-the-box with Linux
- easy to open casing (fingernails are enough, no screwdriver needed)
Cons: - Can't really adjust volume, the volume slider only ranges from "loud" to "much too loud" when used with headphones.
- PCB looks like it got wet once, white residue on bottom.
- the jacks don't look like they survive many plug in/out actions.
Other: Definitly worth it, unless you plan to listen to classical music with it.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: -excellent sound quality for the price
-sound is comparable to top end integrated sound cards
-plug and play for Windows 7 RC
-build quality is quite good, it's pretty sturdy
Cons: -none so far

Pros: 1. Super easy to use, also lights up so easy to plug in speaker and microphone even in the dark room.
2. Super fast! Took 2seconds to hear the sound after connecting it to the computer for the very first time.
3. Super cheap! Similar products in local stores cost approx 5times more...
Cons: None i can think of...
