VMA2016 2*10W Audio Amplifier Evaluation Module (EVM) Board

Pros: This little gadget is a very powerfull amplifier, easy to install and use, and with no lose of quality of the music (mp3,wav, and wma files).
I linked my one to my car battery (12v) only using a fuse to protect him, and it works perfectly. I can link my phone and mp4 gadgets directly to him (using a proper cable) and listen music in the car speakers with no need of any cooler nor other sound equipment.

Cons: The only trouble is that the radio of the cellphone and the mp4 dont works if linked to him (I think the noise of the sound is very hight to be cleared and amplified,or maybe the gadget cannot sintonize), but to me is OK.

Other: This one transforms your mp4 into a very powerfull sound machine by a low price.

Pros: its small, doesn't get warm, so don't need a heat sink, good sound quality, the soldering finish is good. i'm using a good regulated 12 volt power source. works fine to me.

Cons: no manual! there are three jumper, but i don't know what to do. there is a printed map to indicate the funcion of two jumpers. seems to be a gain set

Other: if you like DIY thing, buy it. you have to make a box to put it on, you have to create a better way to connect the speakers using a P2 or RCA female plugs, you have to buy or build your own power source, etc.

Pros: I`ve build one in a pc eliminating an external amplifier (I hate pc-speakers). The board is connected right on the PC`s 12V supply, which is a bit noisy unfortunatly. But by setting down the gain to 6dB (putting jumpers G1 & G0 both to Vr) this is not a real problem anymore. Results may differ in another setting though.

Cons: Subsceptible to supply-noise, terminals a bit flimsy, data should be included, but see "Pros".

Other: Cheap, cool & compact, ideal for my purpose but you can sure think of many others.
If youre into electronics, you can`t afford not buying one ;) You wont believe the noise this little thing can produce even on 12Volts...

Pros: It's very loud. My neighboors, i think, is getting bit angry.
It's so small. I thinked that its bit bigger. Sound is clear

Cons: I thinked package will arive with 3,5mm cable, but i was wrong.

Other: None

Pros: The sound is good but I'm not a audiophile,it is very small,does not required a heatsink.Good Quality product. Easy to use.Excellent for your project, you can use it in your car because it is 12V-18V DC

Cons: I can't use radio of my MP3 and Cell Phone in this amplifier, loud sound when you plug or unplug a device in the P2 input.Does not come with the complete datasheet.It is to small. No manual but I don't need.

Other: If you need a 10W Small Amplifier to do a sound for a small room that is the perfect choice.

Pros: For $13 you'll find nothing more compact and powerful. This unit puts out huge power for it's size. The chip this board uses is $9, for the extra $4 you get it assembled and working. Screw terminals felt solid, the caps didn't wiggle around. What more could you want from a cheap amp

Cons: The audio clips like crazy if you drive it too hard, that's just like all amps though.

Other: You're not going to fill a stadium with this but it would certainly work fine a modest volumes in a living room. Certainly not going to work for a party though.

Pros: -Very useful audio amplifier board for DIY speaker and robot...
-Excellent sound quality and loud enought.
-Good build quality.
-Does what it say.

Cons: -Not really a con but I would have preferred the board without the audio 3.5mm jack.
-Could be cheaper if audio jack and DC filter capacitor were removed.

Other: Buy it if you need to integrate sound in your DIY project.

Pros: Small but powerful amplifier for its size. Very easy to connect because no soldering is required. Can be connected to a motorcycle battery for example for a long lasting playback.

Cons: No cons noticed.

Other: Anybody who can hold a screwdriver and understands the very basics of electronics can easily make a stereo system with this one. Recomend using car speakers or something like that with this device.

Pros: The amplifier is very powerful and the sound quality at the speakers is good, although its size. It is easy to connect and configure. For its price it's a perfect choice.

Cons: The audio jack is not well mounted and it is easy to get off the pcb. Be careful when connecting the jack not to press it too much. It happened to me and it took me one hour to reconnect the jack and stick it back using silicone. The manual doesn't really help, so you have to try several setups to configure it best for your needs. No other cons really!

Other: From price, quality, power consumption and output perspective it is a very good product. It does do what it says! Of course it is useful for someone playing with DIY sound staff and is familiar with electronics and soldering.

Pros: - Very tiny, and I really mean it, its like couple of LEGO bricks next to each other. - Very easy to use, the clasps for the wires makes things soldering-free. - POWERFUL! I could not believe it until I wired the Logitech X-230 speakers to it.. ! - Very cheap - Very easy to power

Cons: - for some, like myself, a bit unclear settings for the pins, using it with all the pins out - size, for some it may be a bit fiddly and easy to loose - noise from the jack - the 3.5mm jack seems a bit unstable so if you are getting lots of noise, try gently! pulling the audio jack inwards or try to fiddle to see for any improvement

Other: This is certainly a great start for a beginner if you wish to create your own portable audio system, on cheap and yet have decent quality and longevity to it too!
