Voice Changer Telephone

Pros: This is a great little phone. After the novelty aspect of it, you will find other uses for it too. This is a dream if you like messing with people(telemarketers, x girlfriends, your boss). The male voice is so deep it sounds like the devil. This really has to be the best 8 bucks I've ever spent. How do these guys do it? Who cares, just send me more.

Cons: Phone Comes with a cable with a "disco" connector on the other end. Just use a regular phone wire from the phone to the wall.

Other: You just can't go wrong with this item. Buy 3. This is a great gift. Just not to your boss or x girlfriend. Have fun!!!

Pros: -- You're getting a DTMF (tone) phone, and a cheap one at that. Keypad has last-number redial, "pause" and mute. No "recall" button (sometimes used for PBX functions) unless that's what "pause" does. -- The included phone cord has been changed since the photographs, and is now the American standard RJ11 at both ends.

Cons: -- My first one was broken in several ways, so I wouldn't like to say how durable they are (DX immediately sent a replacement though). -- They *do* use batteries, two small button cells, glued into place in the handset. Possibly they only power the voice changer, and so, while in the OFF position, you're not using any power, but at some point, you'll have to replace them. -- Your voice will sound very unnatural, which is what the title of my review alludes to. Yes, someone might not realise who it was (some friends could guess, by the way I spoke), but they will think you're using some voice disguising phone! The keypad is illuminated by a single red LED, which fails to light up two-thirds of the keys. There are holes to solder more LEDs into place though, if you really feel like modding it. -- People from lands (such as the UK) who use non-RJ11 sockets to connect to their phone line, will need an adaptor or to borrow the cable from a phone they already have.

Other: It's a toy. It's not brilliant, but for a few laughs and playing silly buggers, it's worth the money. Those with a mind to might even consider trying to mod it to make the voice altering circuit even odder-sounding.

Pros: Doesn't come with the weird 'disco' connector from the picture, mine came with a real phone line (that's good)! Great to prank telemarketers, surveys, etc. People find the voices very surprising and funny. I cant wait for the next survey person to call me!!!

Cons: Didn't work out of the box. After a few minutes it worked. I bet there is a battery inside that needs to build up some current so that it does work. But after that, it didn't fail once!

Other: For the price? Ah too much fun. Next time they call me with a survey or a credit card offer, im going to have as much fun as they will be annoyed!

Pros: - make a good spare handset - good for making prank calls/disguising your voice, as well as normal conversation if you use this phone as a spare - possibly impress your friends? - even as a normal handset, this is much cheaper than any other phone handset around.

Cons: - comes with a funny connector that is not plugged into the connector by default (you will need to do this your own)
- it's purple and the cartoon character on it looks childish

Other: If you're after a novelty phone, or just a normal spare phone to use for day-to-day conversations, get this phone!

It's cheap, and you'll get hours of fun out of it. :)

Pros: -Lightweight -Funny to change voices -Cheap -Mine was dark blue instead of purple :)

Cons: -Mine came with a not too long cord.

Other: Cheap & cool gadget.

Pros: Very cheap phone in general. The voice changer works perfect. Mine was also blue and not purple :D It comes with instructions on how to use it!!! Just that was a load of laughs. Great for pranking your friends or telemarketers.

Cons: none!

Other: For about 7 bucks, just a normal phone is a good deal. This is an awesome product! A must have!

Pros: Plain and simple, it works. Easy to switch between voice modes.

Cons: Unless you want to wire it into the wall, the phone cord is useless. Get another. Body of phone is small and very lightweight, not likely to be very durable.

Other: It works. It's reasonable.
What more can you ask for?

Pros: It really does change your voice! I'm a male and tried the "female" setting. Rung up someone and they said that I sounded like an old lady. When using the "male" setting, your voice sounds the same as when a TV show presents a criminal with their face blacked out and their voice changed.

Cons: My model only had chinese characters describing what the function buttons do on the bottom of the keypad. Soon worked out they mean "PAUSE" "REDIAL" & "MUTE".

Other: Great for pranking your friends.....it even worked on my GF first time!!!

Pros: It works well. Has both female and male voices. Can be used as a real phone.

Cons: Looks like a toy. Build quality is not good. For some reason there is a red LED lighting only four buttons instead of all of them. Microphone is not sensitive enough. Smaller than a regular phone (kids' size)

Other: Very cheap and works nicely! Don't expect high quality. For the price it's great.
