Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - small - bright light - solid build quality - 3 usefull modes - A low Mode! - Takes 10440 LiION - "waterresistant" - nice look
Cons: - quite heavy - low could be lower
Other: Perfect EDC Looks nice on my Keychain! i just like it!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Its small! sleek design with no buttons. It had good finish and looks solid and well made! Has a nice GITD ring on lens so it has extra COOL factor when turned off in dark. It has holes to hang it from a string or something. It has 5 modes! Bright>middle>low>strobe>sos
Cons: turn the end cap for switch on/off this is difficult for older people, and people not so "at home" with technical matters and flash-lights. I would not give it to my mom, cus she would be a bit confused by alll the modes and not knowing how much to turn the cap for on/off. Older and less technical people need simple BUTTON operated ON/OFF with or less modes.
Other: I love it, but its too expensive to just sit on my desk and look pretty, so I will give it away to some girlfriend of mine. Lovely practical /beautiful gift for a sister or a girlfriend with enough technical mind to memorise 5 modes and not get confused when she wants to use a light and it looks "broken" because it flashes randomly :D
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: very stylish and easy to add a strap or to a keychain ring. Nice quality and sturdy, very fine finish. Good light quality, shape and distance -- brighter than my other 2 multi-led / multi-battery flashlights! Has multiple settings: fast flash, slow flash, low, medium, high beam.
Cons: screw open/close bottom to turn on/off AND need to do so multiple times to cycle thru the 5 levels. Not easy to turn on quickly. and a little heavy for the size.
Other: good quality and size for price
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: well built. Not even close to 240 lumen but still pretty bright, takes protected 10440 batteries, easy to attach keyring, flawless machining, memory works
Cons: no real switch, threads are rough
Other: propably the most beautiful keyring light available on DX
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: A great replacement for a maglite solitare.
VERY bright, would do for biking at night in a pinch.
Cons: Heavy - if this was made of aluminum, I'd be happier. Note that I'm talking of 10-15gm here. This may not be an issue for you.
When you unscrew it to turn it on, the "O" ring is no longer engaged, and so it is only waterproof if you don't use it.
Other: I'm happy I bought mine. Even with the extra weight, this replaces a much larger (and heavier) light for camping trips.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Seems like a nice light, very stylish, good burn time. I inserted an AAA rechargeable 1200mah battery, and the light burned well over an hour before I turned it off.
Cons: Wish it could be turned off without loosening the cap.
Other: Good choice.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Small strong reminds last setting (nice when you use one setting) very bright for such a small, cheap light.
Cons: you have to circle through (max) 5 different settings to get the right one; no way to immediately select the wanted setting. Didn't work properly on arrival. Spraying 'contact spray' in end cap worked. Since then no problems.
Other: I'd recommend this device any time. Only the problems I had when I received it makes me wonder if it was a one-time occasion or maybe more have this small (easy to solve) problem
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - Decent flood for an AAA light (with quite a bit of throw) - Decent brightness for an AAA light - Nice heft due to the Stainless steel, durable...some people may prefer aluminium but I like the fact it's solid. Big, hot lights need the aluminium (better heat xfer) but I think one can easily get away with SS in something like this. - Mode memory, a high hi and a decent low lo (would have preferred it even lower but it's still decently low). - Loved the light enough I bought a second after the first one failed quickly. Second is running fine. - Small enough to EDC without noticing it's even there. - Twisty interface means it's unlikely to get activated in your pocket accidentally (bigger plus than you realize, especially if you really need the light being there for you one day!)
Cons: - My first one's tail switch failed after a week or two (but I liked it enough, before it died, that I was hooked and ordered a second). - Not everyone likes twisty interfaces. My wife hates this flashlight ;-) (which makes sure she doesn't borrow it...granted it's almost always on me!)
Other: If you're looking for an AAA light, this one's near the top (in my opinion). Durable, bright, decent looking (if you care).
