Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Funny. Easy to use. Very bright.
Cons: Housing is transparent and glass is domed )) So rider see self light and it causes discomfort in his eyes
Other: Very good way to be visible at the road. People became smiling when them see this ;)
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: quite a lot of light for the price paid, wide viewing angle, easy to fit to bars, head tube or fork legs
Cons: poorly sealed, very cheap circuit board and components
Other: B uy it but if you live in the wetter parts of the world then you should expect to have to replace the lights at least twice a year!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Having tried just about all the other wee tie on lights/back up, in my opinion these are the best.
They are a bit bigger than the usual one's, thats because of the lens which really helps to magnify the out put.
It has a nice solid click on/off switch.
It only has two modes, flashing and steady on.
Im guessing the run time is similar to other smaller lights, as this uses two batterys instead of one.
Cons: Water can get into it though if the rain is heavy enough, or if there is direct spray coming from your wheel, as it will eventually force a few drops through! You can seal it up by running a bit of silicon around the edge between the clear plastic and the white plastic, and this does the job.
Other: To sum it up -
These are better overall than any other wee light on DX so far.
Get these and dont waste your money on any of the others.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Very bright blinkers, drivers or anything else would definitely see you. The silicone is quite stretchable, should be great for tying around larger parts, even on your head tube.
It fits easily on my handle bars, the batteries seems easy to replace too.
Cons: the silicone part seems loose enough for water to get in easily, but could be rectified by applying a little petroleum jelly(check out the review below by moderator)
Had only 2 modes not 3. Flashing and on.
Other: Great product, but a little too big.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Bright, focused light; very easy to install (just stretch) and to use (just click for strobe, once more for constant); feels solid. They'll fit almost anywhere on your bike frame.
Cons: They may not fit tightly around the thinner tubes (like some chainstays and seat stays), although you can just pad it with something like cardboard.
Other: These are way cheaper than Knogs and worth the money. Get a few of them and point them in different directions. SKU 26812 (red) is good for backlights, though slightly less bright than these ones.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: It is very cheap. The light is fairly good (others can see you, however, it will no illuminate your path).
Cons: Although it is silicon made, it is not waterproof. I've rode many times under light rain and everytime the light doesn't turn off after arriving home. After some days it just stopped working due water.
Other: Buy it for those dry nights. If you pretend it for a all-day use (like commuting) it will not last long.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Pop in the bubble and turn on this light. Just like popamatic trouble. Maximum diameter of ~ 3.8 cm Minimum of ~ 1.5 cm. Easy to change the batteries and seems very high quality. Not lopsided, like other DX silicone lights and so does not slide down out of allignment. Just as bright as the double LED DX lights
Cons: one out of 4 with dead batteries. The rubber colour may not be discrete enough to prevent theft.
Other: better than the lopsided DX lights for vertical bar attachment.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Very easy to turn on/off even with gloves. Decent "be seen" light from wide angles. Only the needed modes: off/blink/on. I just hate cycling (!) through a zillion blink-modes. Less is more :-)
Cons: An absolute in rain. Initially the lights will refuse to turn on/off. At some point you can be certain to in the dark. And of course the light will corrode inside because of the water getting in.
Other: Fine light if you /never/ venture out on your bike in rain. Or even just leave it out... If you see a chance of exposure to rain - do your self a favour and look somewhere else. Pitty - otherwise it's just about the perfect light for the urban cyclist!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: good light to mark their presence at night. material is quite good and heavy rain I make much use of my lights and they are working very well and smoothly. The material is good and elastic in order to adjust for any wheel. worth buying at a good price
Cons: against not have to say anything because they have not seen and I am pleased to comment
