Pros: Just received this USB Charger unit today and it have been great as it can charge my media player allowing me to watch more than 5 hours of shows on the road.
Cons: The only issues I have is that by unit have the iPhone plug missing and no manual.
Other: It is a great USB charger and you could change the battery with a standard 18650 lipo cells which is a lot better than others similar unit that you cannot replace the battery.
As for the price it is on the high side but it does comes with a torch function.
I would be great if we can buy one without the torch and a much lower price.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - 18650 battery with amazing capacity
- Multiple adapters included
- Very handy compact flashlight, which is surprisingly bright (much brighter than the run-of-the-mill 1 Watt bike light that I have)
- The retractable cable is very handy to keep the battery housing out of the way when in use in a car, or even on a bike.
- The battery can be charged in the housing right from any USB port.
- USB interface at the housing. You can just use your own USB charger cables.
Cons: - No iPod plug included. The pictures show 7 adapters, and I received all the other 6. Emailed DX about it and they confirmed that the iPod adapter isn't included.
- No adapter "organizer" (the white bit of plastic that holds the adapters in a neat little row). Not a big deal, but I was hoping for something that'll keep them corralled together.
- The retractable USB cable has already shown some signs of deterioration after a few weeks of infrequent use. It's not a common USB cable that you may find at any electronics store.
- The battery is of the unprotected type. I've been taking the battery out every time I put the charger away for storage. The stories about batteries bursting into flames and all that...
Other: Works great as a backup power supply for the numerous electronic gadgets that I carry with me while on public transportation, in my car, and on my bike. Only wish it came with an iPod/iPhone adapter.
I can recommend this device enough. In fact, a few of my friends have ordered this after seeing mine in action.

Pros: - Works well, just pop the battery in and it charges the device depending on what your charging. - Comes with several different adapters. Mine came with the iPod/iPhone adapter that works with iphone 3GS on FW 3.1.2 - It can charge the lithium battery though USB, either a computer or wall adapter. - The Torch (light) part works well enough. It's a pretty bright LED and last quite long with a single 3.7v battery.
Cons: - The base is made of plastic while the Torch head is all metal. - No real cons. It does the job and it does it well.
Other: - It works well. A little bigger then my other charger but at least I can change the battery and the case does well to hold all the batteries and adapters I have.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - it does all as described;
- recharges all mobiles/PDAs i have - nokia, sonyericsson, HTC;
- has a 1A fast charging mode, just press power for one-two seconds;
- can be a flashlight.
Cons: - USB cable little weak;
- stock Luxeon LED is just a crap - dim and greenish;
Other: Great charger for all mobiles/PDA - a musthave for travellers
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: It can charge almost any phone or PDA out there. It has two charging modes. My iphone wasn't being charged with the default mode, but if you hold the power button for a few seconds, you activate the quick charge mode or iPhone mode (it says so in the manual). That does work.
The battery came pre-charged. It fit well.
The flashlight was actually bright. I wasn't expecting that.
The included cables worked well out-of-the-box.
Cons: The battery case thingy isn't well-made, and I can easily see it breaking in the future.
Other: Great product, very cheap. A must for any iPhone users or to keep for emergency charging. I am going to purchase a few extra 18650 to keep around.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - Small and portable
- Charges the 18650 so you don't need to get a charger for it
- Charges iphone
- Can output 1A for fast charging
- Torch is bight, do not look into it.
- Able to charge around 75% for most devices.
Cons: - Does not have micro usb adapter
- USB cable is flimsy and might not last
- Had 10 sets and some battery were rusty and 2 did not work.
- The carrying case isn't very portable.
Other: Great if you are always outdoors and need the extra power. Able to provide 1A which most portable chargers couldn't.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - Able to use any 18650 battery: charging capacity will increase as the battery gets upgraded
- 1000mA charging current
- Able to charge any USB devices that draws power off the USB socket
- has a bright flash light!
- able to charge iPhone 3GS from 0% to almost 100% power.
Cons: - connector for the flash light is not as secure as I'd like it to be. It fell off from the power unit when I was out in the dark trying to repair my vehicle.
Other: Buy it!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: If you have flashlights that take 18650s then you have a bunch of them around.
The battery with it isn't great but sku.20392 are fantastic batteries for this.
The battery indicator is pretty accurate
Flashlight end hangs on pretty good but good luck getting it on in the dark if you aren't familiar with it.
It will charge a stock PSP battery 1.5 times (basically) on a single 18650 charge.
Works well for the ipod too. I haven't tried a full charge from it yet but it doesn't even show a draw on the led indicator.
Li ions hold charge for a LOOONG time.
The retractable cord is handy and a decent length.
Storage box with foam cut out padding is handy for keeping all of your adapters together and a spare 18650 (one in the unit, one in the battery slot of the package).
Flashlight is decent but NFG if you have high quality torches.
Cons: Could have used a better variety of adapters, I needed a motorola adapter, and the "D" usb adapter for my olympus camera.
The retractable cord is pretty flimsy.
The battery holder (main part) is made of a rather fragile plastic, Wouldn't recommend dropping it too many times ^_^
Other: Buy it if you burn through your psp, ipod, phone, camera, gps, batteries quickly.
A handful of spare 18650 batteries will keep you going for a LONG time!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Takes 18650s. If you have a good number of these, you'll never run out of juice for your devices. Has enough power to put an ipad on charging, tried and tested but not with the included cable. Compact.
Cons: Takes ages (>6hrs) to charge the 2000mAh 18650 inside. I charge my 18650s in 1.5hrs using another charger. Doesn't charge iphone 4 with other cables. You need to fabricate your own usb male-usb female connector with 4 resistors to get your iphone charging correctly. Output of 2.76V and 2.0V on D- and D+ pin respectively to get your iphone charging correctly. Check: http://www.ladyada.net/make/mintyboost/icharge.html for more details on iphone charging.
Other: If you like DIY and have an iphone, you might want to get it. If you don't like DIY but don't have an iphone, you can still get it =)
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: +It's light
+It uses 18650 and it's a good choise
+It has a flashlight
+It comes with comfy bag
+Lot of connectors for different phones.
+It works!!!!
Cons: -stock battery have has low capacity, in real.
-usb retractable cord is very weak, it's clamp brokes quickly.
-no microusb connector, but, a lot of modern phones uses microusb.
Other: Good choise, if you need light, portable charger in your hikes.
