What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. If you are looking for wholesale prices please feel free to contact us.

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: This is a very cheap survival fire rod, and it works well. OK build quality. Will make tinder catch fire when it`s wet!
Cons: After some use (about 100 strikes) the plastic part fell off, but it can be fixed with some glue. It will take some practice to make enough sparks for the magnesium to ignite. Also it will take time to scrape off enough magnesium.
Other: A good first time fire rod. Cheap aswell. Would buy again!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: O produto e prático e facil de usar, seu preço é excelente. Uso o produto em camping, caminhadas e quando preciso de fazer fogo em uma emergencia.
Cons: não encontrei nenhum ponto negativo o produto é muito funcional.
Other: Recomendo o produto a comunidade DX.

Pros: small size makes it portable while string makes it easy to cary and to find on your bag. It produces hot and abundant sparkles. The green thing is perfect to use with it. Grip is very handy!
Cons: The diameter is about 10mm but the sparkling metal is only 4mm diameter. The rest is just steel. It is a litle too heavy with all that steel. Because it is embeded on a steel cilinder, you may have problems lighting it up with you knife.
Other: Good buy. Cheap and usefull. I believe that if you use a lot, it wont last too much.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: A fairly lightweight, durable and top quality survival tool for any situation where you urgently need fire - works in wind, damn conditions, and can take with virtually any type of kindling with a couple of repeated strikes.
Cons: Slightly larger than you might want to carry everywhere with you, but otherwise definitely worth it.
Other: Ever find yourself out in the wilderness without the bare necessities? If not, don't take any chances in case it happens to you - this one's a keeper for your survival kit!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Lightweight, easy to use, very cheap compared to other flints, has magnesium rod on the outside (the bigger part) and ferrocium rod on the inside (the smaller part). Can be used with anything sharp (knife, porcelain, broken glass etc.) not just the green striker it comes with.
Cons: None so far, only the the black cord is a little too thin and flimsy. Can be swapped ofcourse.
Other: Good for the price, very useful tool, get it if you hasitate.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: You can start a fire with any paper / trash / grass is dry enough -. Supplied with a knife, not to waste their knives. - You handle -. Very cheap and very good quality.
Cons: not found
Other: If you camp, if you have a survival kit, if you've ever wanted to start a fire and had no match! this device is for you. I have a few sets in my camping gear. I have a survival kit with one in it as well.
