Wilderness Survival Fire Sparkle Flint + Opener + Sawtooth + Map Rangefinder + Compass (Black)

Pros: - Its quite a good fire sparkle, with obviously fine cover (fully metal, seems very good and durable). I think its worth the money. - The cable has enough lenght to get lots of sparkle with this metal piece on it. By the way, you can use any other longer rope, if u find it short... - The compass is working, maybe not that super precise, but it has a small size, mabye thatswhy. I think you can get to every where with it on a trip. - As i see it, you can use it many times, the abrasion is not that fast.

Cons: Not at all, a very good buy for that amount of money.

Other: I had used it already several times (about 20-30, maybe just to show it to others :), and it still don't shows serious abrasion.

chumasso put a cotton and many pieces of confetti, the means of kindling wood and finally thicker ... and could start a fire ... in only one in the stern stuff ...

Pros: Ferro rod throws sparks as intended, easily sets tinder alight. Protective casing is a good idea. Scraper is solid and effective.

Cons: Compass is ineffective and does not work properly. Protective casing is a good idea, but is a little to big and heavy, making the fire starter a little too bulky for an emergency survival kit.

Other: As a fire starter it works effectively, the compass and protective casing are a good idea but just are not quite right.

Pros: sturdy/heavy - to me its is good but not much of a pocket size and weight the case is a really good idea, could use some kind of a seal to avoid water, but i manage that myself.

Cons: that compass is meaningless.. better of without it could change it for a red led or something as a emergency locator or a tiny flashlight althought i like the chain it seems that a paracord would be more sturdy, but again it is easy to change it!

Other: good product, fullfiled my needs almost entirelly and i recomend it. Prices can always be lower lolol ;)

Pros: easy to use, not problems to make sparks, good build quality iit is build in aluminium, good size, and the product look better phisicaly that picture

Cons: none i´m satisfied w/ the product but the compass is exposed to get damage it dropp and it must to have integrated a o ring seal to make it watherproof

Pros: Its a simple product but it has a great look, the fire starter works very good, if you put enough pressure on it. Sparkles that come of will glow a short time while laying on the ground without tinder. Also you can protect it from damage by screwing the gaurd around it.

Cons: Its a bit big, and the compass is not very usefull, mine points NW. Also the paint might come off.

Other: Good back-up fire making product

Pros: The Quality of the Carrier is MUCH better than I would have expected, it could easily be used as a Kubotan, for self-defense. The Chain is way longer than it appears, easily 70 cm, and it also looks like it take a punch.

Cons: The compass... Well it spins a bit and is betted in fluid, but somehow it never points in the same direction.

Other: Great Product for an acceptable price, I'll probably order a few for my buddies

Pros: Absolutely perfect, does exactly what it should. Throw's the spark into the direction you want and is easily stored or worn, good for the tracker or outdoors person who wants something that will do as it should.

Cons: Compass is a bit cheap but it does if fact work.

Other: Great item for outdoors even as a gift for someone who you don't know what to get, I personal look forward to using this out bush next time camping.
