  • Good product idea but with a weakness

    Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: I always like to have small handy tools like this in my car in winter. A small shovel like this is ideal.

    Cons: Over night wet snow around the car had frozen, to remove some of the ice before driving out I tried the shovel for the first time. The plastic ring that secures the folding mechanism broke. Its really the weak point of this rugged shovel. The plastic cant take the pressure of the foldable shovel.

    Other: I like to have a shovel like this in the car. But this one didnt make it. Its not really cheap either. If the plastic ring was replaced with something more solid it could work. It cant really be repaired either because its not standard parts. The green case to keep it in has a very strong oily smell also.
