Wilderness Survival Steel Wire/Scroll Saw (70cm-Full Length)

Pros: A good idea. Good stuff. Good packaging. Not rust. I was planning to have a saw for backpacking.

Cons: This mechanism does not nag firewood. I couldn't otpilit branch of the tree. This is a good thing, but useless.

Other: I would like to have a saw. Paid money. I received a souvenir. I very much regret that I have paid the money and spent time customs postal workers and two countries.

Pros: Great quality the same quality as if you were to buy it from a supplier here in Australia which I have heard can retail up to $20 each. In fact this product appears to be thicker then the ones sold here.

Cons: Limited uses for this product as it blunts quickly when cutting PVC pipes but this is expected.

Other: Great for cutting PVC pipes in hard to reach places such as being flush against a wall preventing the use of another tool.

Pros: Very easy to handle. Perfectly cut dry wood. It looks very reliable. You can put in your pocket and go hiking.

Cons: No flaws.Lack of cover leads to obfuscation. I had to constantly twist and unwind.And what could be disadvantages for the three and a half bucks.

Other: Convenient. Reliable. Excellent value. Excellent quality.
Will definitely try on other materials. I would advise all our friends. If you need an inexpensive, compact saw for a hike voemite not regret it.

Pros: Good package.
Great product. It seems to be very strong and good! The two rings are solid, as the wire saw..and they can be used to bond the wire saw to a belt.

Cons: The wire saw is not very flexible, so be careful to not bend too much.
Wrap the saw around two fingers when you put it in a pocket, but be careful not to bend. it is best to put it in a fanny pack or backpack.

Other: It should not be used as the first tool to cut the wood, but it is only a saw emergency.

Pros: Small, light, powerful, very effective tool. I keep it in my Altoids Tin Survival Kit, and even though it has a tiny footprint, it is still more than enough length for effective, full strokes. It seems very durable, and when I tested it out I was surprised how well it cut through the wood, and how fast the sawdust cleared itself from the teeth.

Cons: There's really no con to this well constructed, simple tool. Maybe that it might not be corrosion resistant?

Other: Buy several, and put them in your packs, car, survival kits, wherever! They're cheap, tiny, and super effective.

Pros: I had my suspicions in the beginning but now I can say it definitely works well. It is small, foldable, light, sturdy to cut very very large trees. Surprised me on the first test. I put this gadget in to my survival equipment after I tasted. I can easily fit for every hole like knife holster or canteen.

Cons: There's really no con for this item. Looks like can be rushed, but mine doesn't yet. A small carrying pack like holster would be perfect.

Other: If you are a hiker or camper, this always must be in your pocket.

Pros: The cut is good and if you need skill, easy to store and carry. Material fabrication very good. Excellent price.

Cons: The cord could be a little bigger. rings can hurt your fingers in operation longer. could come with the option of larger size.

Other: Good product for small operations. recommend.

Cons: - DX took 2 months to ship this, imagine all the trees I could have been sawing apart! - seems like its made with less than great quality material, but I guess thats what you pay for - no pack or case or pouch :(

Other: - This is a nifty tool to pull out at the camp site and show off, much better than either carrying a bulky saw or trying to make do with a knife and then turning your knife into a blunt piece of metal

Pros: The low price and the small size are a definite plus. It is a simple device and easy to use.

Cons: The swage that holds the saw band to the rings is too weak. One came apart before the branch was cut The swage should be done in stainless steel to make the whole thing stronger. Then again, do not blame the tool look at the operator skill. Refer to my "Other Thoughts"

Other: This is value for money. This is a must have item in the kit.
