Wireless Door Bell

Pros: - It is wireless, and works on batteries, so you don't need to site it near power, or drill holes- at least, not for the sender. The receiver you will need to glue or screw to the wall.

Cons: -It isn't waterproof. It's hardly even water-resistant. I don't the electronics on the sender would care that much, but it's not a claim that stands up to scrutiny. -It's not very tough. It won't take much abuse, so don't use it where the neighbourhood kids are the type to steal cars for fun. -The sender uses a tiny battery that is included, but will be *slightly* harder to find spares for. -But the worst thing is the range. Maybe I had a duff version. My friend lives in a shared house, but his window, on the first floor (second floor to Americans), faces the street. He placed it on his windowsill, and then I tried to activate it. I had to *reach up* with my arm before it would respond, which would put the range at under an estimated two metres. The only thing in the way was some air and some glass. I will keep the sender on me, since there's nowhere else to put it, given this harsh limitation. Whether it will work at all once the battery wears a bit, I have no idea.

Other: I don't think I could recommend this to anyone, unless they were in a very similar situation to that I mention above.

Pros: Cheap, works well with range for me.

Cons: Batteries in reciever don't last as long as you'd think. Once the music gets all warbly and distorted.slow, it's time to change batteries.

Other: Get it if you're on a budget, in a dorm, etc.

Pros: -great construction
-quite tough as i leave it outside exposed to extreme rain and shine here in Australia (including some hailstorms)
-range is ok

Cons: -after using it for 3 months, for some weird reason it rings by itself randomly. Having a baby in the house, this is not wanted. I figure that it's interference but the description says that it's got super strong anti-interference built in. Guess I should have taken the description with a grain of salt...

Pros: good product, good Service of DX. For the price I believe this is one of the best products. Very usefull, not only for door bell, but some times I modify it and use it at other products using Remote controle,
