Wireless Multimedia Infrared IR Remote Controller with USB Receiver for PC (2*AAA)

Pros: nice and light, buttons seem fine. good range.

Cons: I bought it to use with mediaportal, but this is not natively MCE compliant. still working on how I can translate the buttons to work in mediaportal, but it looks like this will be a tough mission.

Other: would likely be fine for other stuff, but not media center ready unfortunately.

Pros: - Plug & Play

- Could act as number pad
- Button to access Home Media Centre

Cons: - not much cons.

Other: Good USB Remote Control device. Really worth the money for such a good device. Love it a lot.

Good quality construction, includes instruction manual, the infrared receiver is a right size (not as large or as small), works perfect and has many functions. The scope of the remote control is about 10 feet or so and need not point directly to the receiver so that it works well and requires no drivers to install, just plug in and out and running, it really is a very good product.

Buena calidad de construcción, incluye manual de instrucciones, el receptor infrarojo es de un tamaño justo (ni tan grande ni tan pequeño), funciona perfecto y tiene muchas funciones. El alcance del control remoto es de unos 10 metros más o menos y no es necesario apuntar tan directamente al receptor para que funcione bien y no se necesita drivers para instalarlo, sólo se conecta y ya sale funcionando, realmente es un muy buen producto.

The painting of the buttons does not seem to last very long. Some access buttons such as "My TV", "My Music", etc only work on Windows Vista and Seven. The USB extension cable is very short, about 65 cm or so.

Pros: - Could use it as a mouse to move the cursor.
- Could press the close button on all your computer applications and program not just Window Media Centre.
- Access to internet browser, Email, Media Center and more with the controller.
- It also has mouse left click and right click function.

Cons: Although it has buttons like My Picture, My Music, My Picture. You can only use it on Window Media Center.
The Infrared IR is not in 360 degree. So you have to point the remote controller directly to the IR.

Other: Very light weight. Only used 2 AAA battery which can last very very long. You could also use the remote controller to shut down your computer, stand by, sleep.

Pros: Go this remote working with Windows 7 media center with out any driver. In mouse mode the cursor is a bit slow but accurate. I just press the toggle button and use the directinal key like the key board. This work better for me.

Cons: IR Receiver is point to the side of my laptop. IR come with extension but that just a hassel. I wish the detector have sensor or the side of dongel also and that would eliminate the need of extension for me.

Other: recommend. gave one to my sister. I need to buy a new one now.

Pros: -Easy of use. Totally Plug and Play. On Win7 it launches the Media Center and start using it. -Really usefull for HTPC. -It has a good size for nice grip. -Nice USB cable provided so the IR Dongle has more Range.

Cons: I can´t say tha it has a Cons actually. Non that i noticed so far. But here we go. -It could be more ergonomic. -The keys could be better placed. -The PC USB plug its kind of big.

Other: Stop looking and BUY IT.

Pros: price is great, and it does some stuff well. good size, and rubber buttons feel pretty robust

Cons: I purchased for use with media-portal on windows XP. some of the functions worked, but most did not, so I had to end up purchasing a proper Media Center remote instead.

Other: fine for a PC remote, but not for media portal (probably not for media center either). perhaps some other apps based on linux may be better suited? something that can interpret and associate the commands to specific actions.

Pros: - plug&play; no drivers needed - receiver has a good range; sensitive - a lot of WMC functions directly controllable - very good price ratio - mouse function - you can turn off your PC via button

Cons: - myTV button leads you to your tv recordings menue - DVD button doesn't activate DVD playing directly

Other: Cheap, good, nice.

Pros: i bought this for use with Windows Media Center, but by the time it arrived I had abandoned WMC and started using WinAmp. good nows is that while the manual says its specific for WMC it works well with Winamp. does all the important things. usb receiver has good range, works from anywhere in my livingroom. light on receiver shows shen signal received.

Cons: if not used with WMC is not 100% functional. a bit cheap plastic but still much better than some remotes you can get. looks ok next to a real tv remote.

Other: nice product, does what i need at very reasonalbe price. takes 2 AA batteries.

Pros: This remote\gets detected as a HID device and so it was a breeze to make work in Ubuntu 11.04. All the important buttons work out of the box(Mouse movement and clicks, play, forward etc) while others took a little remapping to make work. Its range is amazing, it even bounces off my walls. IR Module is small and does not get in the way. Mouse works flawlessly.

Cons: Buttons look like they will get stuck or break if not handled gently (but thats a problem in most remotes anyway).

Other: This is a great remote, you wont be sorry if you get this one instead of the other skus!!!
