Pros: As the title says, does what it says on the can. If you want a torch that can go from total flood with no hot spot to pure thrower with no spill then this is for you.
Cons: Quality is pretty poor, there was lots of swarf in the battery tube, the LED has no sinking and there is no driver, only a resistor.
Only a P4 emitter but without adequate sinking it would be difficult to get more light out of this.
Other: The optics work quite well but I would prefer to pay a little more for a better quality torch.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - At widest focus, it's a pure flood! No discernible hotspot. Almost clean of artifacts. And it's not a weak sidespill, it's a bright flood. The flood is so bright, I wish this flashlight had a second, lower mode.
- Zoomed in, this torch outthrows my 3D Maglite LED and my brand-spanking-new M20 R2. Amazing!
- Tint is not bad. Perhaps slightly more blue when zoomed out (flood), than when zoomed in (spot). If this is supposed to be a WC tint, I'd say it's on the cooler side of the tint chart.
- Using SKU 5776, runtime was 3 hours to 50% (eyeball approximation) and 1 more hour until battery reached 2.75 volts. Output at that point was still usable, approximately 10 lumens.
Cons: - Build quality is a mixed bag. For example, the head seems to be well-engineered, but you can plainly see dust and hair trapped under the lens. The tailcap assembly seems well designed, but the tail switch seems flimsy.
- The slide mechanism works extremely well. It's very easy to operate with one hand. (But feels cheap. There's no tactile "click" when fully extended or fully retracted. And it feels loose, even though it isn't.)
- The body is much bigger than necessary to hold an 18650 cell. Fins have been added to the inside of the tube to act as a reducer. However, the battery still rattles, so I wrap it in paper to dampen the rattle. (Not an elegant solution, but it works.)
- When fully focused, the projected beam shape is very square. It takes some time to get adjusted to it. (Some people may never get used to the idea of a square spotlight. It looks weird.)
- It wobbles when it tailstands. (Yes, it can easily tail stand.) Why didn't they recess the tailswitch 1/16" more to eliminate the wobble?
Other: For a little more than twenty bucks, this is one of the best buys on DX.

Pros: Wow I can't believe how much this little thing throws and floods! I have a Aurora P7-3 light and it is great, however, this light, for the price is totally worth it! I can't wait to test it in the dark. I wish there was a bigger body version with a newer emitter.
Cons: There are better emitters.
Need a P7 (12 Watt+ LED) emitter model.
Other: Great buy.
Good addition to my collection.
Only focus like like this on DX.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: The best thing about this light is its massive spot when zoomed right out. It's a big bright circle. Even if this light didn't have its adjustability, it would be worth looking at for that alone. Of course, the main draw is the focusing, which certainly does work. At widest, it throws a big bright circle. At narrowest, it throws a small square four-segmented pattern in the shape of the emitter :)
Cons: The zoom mechanism feels a bit cheap. Overall build is pretty cheap really. The lanyard it comes with is better than most budget lights' though.
I'm also not sure if this is water resistant. Maybe I'll leave it in wide mode, and hot-glue around the adjuster to keep the water out :P
Other: Novel, and a nice wide beam, but it doesn't inspire confidence the way some of the other budget DX lights do (e.g. most of the Romisens).
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: This light does exactly what it is supposed to, it goes from spot to flood very nicely and any place in between. Plenty bright and smaller than many other 18650 lights.
Cons: The adjustment from spot to flood is accomplished simply by sliding the head forward and back on the body of the light, which is fine, you can easily do it with one hand. The problem is that it is too loose! The light just kind of slops back and forth and is far too easy to change by accident. These lights are also produced in a three AAA version, which uses the same body, they just added some spacers internally, very cheesy! I hate three AAA lights, why waste so much space on a light using a far superior battery? The tailcap threads are poorly cut, causing misthreading if you are not very careful while screwing on the cap. Switch seems cheap.
Other: A fun light!

Pros: If you're into mountain biking - this is ideal. On its flood setting you get a huge gorgeous artifactless pool of uniform light, no annoying hotspot at all. When you need a bit more throw you simply zoom it out slightly. On full zoom its a proper retina scorcher for terrifying motorists or woodland stalkers. No spill whatsoever
Cons: Sure the head wobbles very slightly but it doesn't affect it's performance at all. And there were a few grubby finger print marks on the inside of the lens, but its easily taken apart for cleaning.
Other: I haven't found another light that produces such a perfect pool of light for mountain biking. The zoom function really is a good laugh - espically for Star Wars style light sabre effects in fog!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Great little bright light in a small package. The quality is quite good and the zoomed beam is really bright and is 3x brighter than an R2's hotspot beam. The zoomed out beam is nice and round and the spill is very even.
Cons: The frog eye optics is made of some plastic material but is not PMMA. The light permeability would probably be so much better if it was a glass optics instead.
Other: Price could be cheaper as its on the high side for a P4 emitter.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: It will be able to be said that it is the maximum feature in a big feature of this light that
the diffusion of light and Atsmahica are changed in changeability.
This mechanism is made very precisely, and surprised by height at a technological level.
Because the LED parts cannot be exchanged, the destroyed resolution is necessary to resolve
it.
As for the contact of the tail switch, the battery is maintained with not spring but gentle
metallic parts.
The easiness of the tail switch to push is a number 1 in my collection.
Cons: It was regrettable that the name had not been marked to the light though there were
no wound etc.
The waterproof performance is low because there is no O ring in the operation part though it is diffusion, and Atsmahica translation.
Other: It was the highest goods. There might not be what is bought and lost.
It is a practicality and high light.

Pros: This is from my POV the best Flashlight DX currently has.
The flood is absolutely, fantastic, awesome, beautiful. The pictures/videos available at the time I'm writing this don't do it justice at all.
The throw looks a bit odd with it's rectangular shape but it's really powerful and that's what counts at the end of the day.
Cons: Only single mode. For some applications the flood is actually too bright.
Other: This is the closest you will get to a LED Lenser Flashlight without actually paying the full price for one.
I have bought a second one meanwhile and the price drop is tempting me... ;-)

Pros: Forget all the other ones that don't have focus. I also bought the MTE M3-2 Cree (sku.16500), which does give more light in total, but using the focus/zoom you can easily get more light with this one at the right place. You can focus to the max and actually see something at 300ft/100m.
On the other hand with the focus to maximum flood the light is even. I mean almost perfectly even instead of the normal distracting 'a lot of light in the middle' and only a bit flood. So for close by work you get the best light, nice and wide (although the sku.18304 is really perfectly even...even usable for photography). Wider than any other one I have.
Cons: I still like to have twist focus instead of the shift focus. But this one is nice and stiff in the sliding (not as to-easy sliding as the sku.18304).
And yes also more levels of light to save battery would be nice. You can control the intensity with the focus, but you cannot save battery power with it.
Other: Make an update with multiple power levels and we have a winner.
