Pros: Powerful flash Bounces Swivels Zoomhead (non automatic, but functional) Reasonably short cycle time (this depends on your batteries, of course)
Cons: You can't adjust the power of the flash. I didn't expect to be able to, but it would have been a nice feature.
I'm not too sure about the voltage of this thing, and I've only used it off camera so far (as I don't know if it'll fry my camera's built in trigger system)
Other: This flash performs exactly like I had anticipated. I expect to use it with my light tent (sku.5224) - and that'll probably work out fine.

Pros: Very cheap for a flash like this. you can buy a slave flash trigger and use it wireless in distance with a tripod to make side light and get better photos. I will get another one soon.
Cons: none that i can think now. maybe it could come thith the slave trigger but it would influence the price, so that`s ok like this.
Other: if you like to make photos, get this one. it works perfectly. If your camera dont have external flash connector (like mine), you can use it with a slave trigger anyway.serch in dealextreme, they sell it here.

Pros: Cheap powerful flash. The head turns, tilts and has a variable focus (zoom).
Cons: Well, cheap flash looks like a cheap flash.
It does not have any adjustments other than the on/off switch and manual shutter. But again, this is a cheap flash.
Other: Definetly, it's worth the money.

Pros: Great, bright, easy to use flash. Just pop in your batteries, turn it on and away you go. Super cheap, gives lots of light.
Cons: The build quality is ok, just be careful when you are pulling your batteries out. The batteries fit VERY tightly in there so if you force it too hard when you are taking them out, you may crack the case. Just treat it nice and you'll be fine.
Other: This is a super cheap and bright flash. If you want to play around with your light then go for it. Just don't put this on your camera until you know your camera can handle the current sent by the flash.

Pros: It is so cheap!
It recharges very fast.
Works without any adapters/cords on Canon 400D. Just plug it on the camera and it will synchronize. No special synchronizers needed.
Cons: no essential cons for that price. May be build quality doesn't look reliable. But it's so simple that there are no parts to be broken :)
Other: It is extremely simple and cheap. It works perfectly with my Canon 400d without cords or synchronizers.

Pros: I bought this flash to use with the YongNuo YN-04 I Studio/Camera Flash Sync Trigger Remote Control. It works flawlessly, out of the box. I used it both with normal alkaline batteries and rechargable ones. The charging time between flashes is very small, 2-3 seconds. It produces A LOT OF LIGHT, so if you shoot indoors you might want to block it somehow or put it far away from the subject, and properly set your camera to prevent the ''burning'' of the pic.
Cons: Nothing really, the building quality is not the best but it will do the job.
Other: This is a nice, strong flash for outdoor use, and indoor if you can handle all that light. Simple to use, just fill it with batteries and switch it on. Nothing to control on it, just an on-off switch. I would recommend it for non-pro use.

Pros: Works right out of the box (after putting in batteries of course). A lot of light quickly. Works well with NiCad, Metalanhidryde and alkaline batteries alike.
It was delivered relatively quickly, I guess abt 12-14 days after I placed the order
Cons: Only one: the manual mentions a trigger cable. This was not included.
Well.. the manual is in Chinese, but you really do not need a manual for this flash
Other: If you need a cheap flash: buy it. Can't really go wrong with it

Pros: This is a super cheap, and super easy to use flash.
It has a vertical and horizontal tilt which allows you to bounce the flash off any walls or ceilings for that nice diffused light.
It has no controls except for the adjustable zoom head which has 3 settings (35, 50 and 85mm) which allows anyone to pick this up and start using it straightaway.
It is also a very powerful flash. Good for indoor photography and possibly outdoor photography as well.
Build quality is so-so. It's quite basic, but it does the job as long as you're not dropping it every few minutes.
Cons: It has no power controls. This means it will be operating at full power all the time.
It is very powerful, and sometimes this might cause your pictures to come out overexposed; it performs very well if you bounce the light off something though.
It has a recharge whine (which may not suit some people), but it's not really a con since it's a way of it letting you know when it's ready for the next flash.
Other: Buy it if you need a cheap flash.
It does its job well.

Pros: I have this flash for some time now (see earlier review) and it performs fantastic. Took it along on trips and treated it rough. Went into suitcases and was tossed around Once I dropped it from abt 1 meter on a marble floor. The casing sprang open along the seams. Just put wires and print back in its place and snapped it back. Worked again without problems.
It really gives a lot of light and it is easy to use for 'strobist' pics. Just manual, nothing fancy. Simple but good
Cons: If any it wld be that the ready lamp has a bit of an 'in between' mode as well
Other: It does what it is supposed top do: throw light on stuff
I bought a second one that just arrived. That says it all I guess
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: I got two of those for my canon 550D and it works great, it's completely manual so there are no fancy digital displays but that makes it quite easy to use. The flash brightness is excellent for the price and it does what it's supposed to. Works wireless or on-camera. Has adjustable lighting angle as well as light-cone angle adjustment, rotates 360 degrees as well.
Cons: Build quality seems bad but I had these babies fall down on a hard floor several times and they still work so it's not too bad and I'd rather have these fall down than my speedlite. They eat batteries fast, but is ok when you have rechargables.
Other: I had them for almost a year now, they are cool and if you need a cheap flash and don't mind that there's not software functions, these do a great job.
